Dear Mr. Delgadillo:
I was pleased to see this evening on CNN that you are looking into the premature release, into house arrest, of Ms. Hilton. It has become a sorry day for this country when we allow our children to see a that if your family has money, power, and a little bit of celebrity, you need not have consideration for laws, or for other people. Drinking and driving is against the law; there is no other way to look at the issue. Ms. Hilton was sentenced to serve time in jail. Her original sentence was generously reduced, contingent on good behavior. She spent a mere 5 days behind bars, after she got behind the wheel of a motor vehicle legally drunk. She put everyone else on the road with her in extreme danger.
I am reminded on a daily basis just what is happening our youth. An entitlement and arrogance is washing over entire generations. We can blame many thing, but until we start cracking down on the entitlement and arrogance of the people our children idolize, we can only expect to see entitlement and arrogance in our children.
I expect that you will do what you are able to see that the just and lawful thing is done in this case against Ms. Paris Hilton.
Sincerely Yours,
Sarah T. Janus
